Video Games In Society Today

Personally, I've never been into video games.  Growing up, I watched all of my friends playing them and because they liked them so much, I wanted to like them too.  However, I could never get into them.  It was probably because I could never get past getting used to the controller.  As technology evolved, I did get into online games like "farm town" on Facebook or apps on my phone like "words with friends".  Now, to pass the time, I watch Netflix.  I know people my age, or even older, who play video games like it's their passion in life.  My boyfriend makes sure he's home in time, on certain days of the week, to make sure he's there to play his game with his friends online.  He says, "I HAVE to play this game!" It's become a major priority in his life. My Growth with the PC

The PC has been around for as long as I can remember.  My first memories I have with the PC was playing with the learning games that my parents had bought me.  They were on a CD, I believe.  Insert it in the computer, just like you would today, and play.  I remember getting frustrated with the games, more than anything, because I couldn't figure out how to use them.  There weren't many options with the games and it went extremely slow.  I remember being so excited to play on the computer but I was disappointed with what I actually experienced.  I gave up on the PC early on.  Then, when I was in middle school, we had to write papers and do projects that involved using a computer.  We learned how to use computers in school but I still had trouble with it when I was at home and I needed help from my parents.  I wasn't a fan of the computer.  After my dad upgraded the computer and Myspace came out, I was on the computer as much as I was...
